CPR for family and friends:

This course is aimed at the community, basically at any person with an interest in CPR and for persons with friends or family that may be at risk of sudden death. Adults, children and infants are covered during this course. This course can be followed with no prior medical knowledge.

What is CPR?
CPR or Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation is the process of doing compressions to the chest and giving breaths to a patient with no heart beat or breath.

Why learn CPR techniques?
You can make the difference.

Imagine being on a weekend getaway and somebody noticing a baby floating on the swimming pool. That baby was me, and luckily someone knew how to do CPR.

You are home alone and your husband has a heart attack…
You are in a car accident and when you get out of your car there is another person lying by the road not breathing…
Your child chokes on a hard sweet and cannot get a breath…

The reasons for doing a course like this is endless, the question is will you be able to live with yourself if ever you were in a situation like this and your ability to act may have saved a life?

Course details?
You will receive a text book with 40 pages as well as 2 credit card sized Reminder Cards. You will also be showed how to recognize a heart attack and a stroke and what to do when someone chokes.

This is a 3 hour course with no formal testing.

It is advised to repeat the course at least every 2 years to keep you up to date.
